Alison Hammond ‘to host Wheel Of Fortune reboot’

She was recently confirmed to be taking over This Morning on Fridays with Dermot O’Leary

And Alison Hammond, 45, is reportedly going to host Wheel Of Fortune as the game show returns after nearly 20 years.

The last episode of the popular ITV show was aired in December 2001, and was originally hosted by Nicky Campbell when it debuted in 1988.

Carol Smillie, Bradley Walsh, Jenny Powell, John Leslie and Terri Seymour have also hosted the show, with Alison now set to add her name to the list, The Sun reported

A source told the publication: ‘Her profile has rocketed recently. She’s delivered some standout interviews.’

MailOnline have contacted representatives for comment.

The This Morning presenter joined the show in 2003, one year after her appearance on Big Brother.

And now she is set to take over the Friday slot from Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, which she will co-host with Dermot O’Leary.

In an announcement on Monday afternoon, it was revealed that 60-year-old show veterans Eamonn and Ruth – who have presented This Morning for 14 years – will now present the ITV favourite during holidays.

The incoming presenters will begin their new coveted jobs on January 8, joining a line-up that also includes main hosts Phillip Schofield, 58, and Holly Willoughby, 39.

Breaking her silence on the shake-up following weeks of speculation, Alison, 45, said in a statement: ‘I never dreamt that when I first joined This Morning – initially for a few months – that I would still be there 19 years later.

‘I genuinely care about the show and the viewers who watch, so it’s a huge privilege and honour to be hosting a show I adore so much. I’m just really excited to be doing even more of what I love alongside the lovely Dermot.’

Sharing his own statement, co-host Dermot, 47, said: ‘I’m deeply thrilled and honoured to be joining the This Morning team next year. We have huge shoes to fill and we are well aware what a privilege it is to be stepping into them.

‘Above all, we want to have fun and for you to be able to kick your weekend off with a smile, especially given the year we’ve all had.

‘So I’m delighted to be co-hosting with the living embodiment of sunshine on a rainy day. I can’t wait to get started.’

The news comes after Alison revealed that presenters on This Morning aren’t the best of friends, amid claims she’s locked in a feud with Ruth and Eamonn.

In an interview conducted before the shakeup was revealed, Alison claimed that only main hosts Holly and Phillip Schofield are off-camera pals.

The TV personality, who attended Ruth and Eamonn’s 2010 wedding, told The Sun: ‘We’re not on top of each other, do you know what I mean?

‘Phillip and Holly, they go on holiday together. They genuinely love each other, in a brother and sister way.

‘But literally when we finish everyone wants to go home to their families and see them. We’ve got it just right I think. But no they all go and do their own thing.’

On Thursday, Alison shared a cryptic message, as she took to her Instagram account to tell her followers that ‘strong people don’t tear down others’.

Days earlier, Ruth was forced to deny she was making a dig at Alison, after it was revealed the former Big Brother star will replace her on the flagship daytime show.

Amid the ongoing drama, Alison posted a cartoon picture of a girl and a dolphin rising to the surface of the ocean together, with the words: ‘Strong people don’t put others down. They lift them up.’

Irena Srbinovska shares how clucky she is getting at the sight of Locky Gilbert with a baby

She relocated from Melbourne to Perth after finding love with Locky Gilbert on this year’s season of The Bachelor.

And it appears that Irena Srbinovska is getting quite clucky.

The 31-year-old nurse cooed over a picture of the handsome Survivor star doting over a baby on Monday.

‘A man with a baby,’ she captioned a picture of Locky, 31, kissing the side of a baby’s face on her Instagram. ‘My ovaries.’

In the adorable picture, a thick-bearded Locky is lost in the moment as he pecks the chubby cheeks of the bub.

The unknown youngster, who is being warmly held up by Locky’s arms, is staring lovingly into the camera and has it’s hands placed on the  former Australian Survivor: All Stars’ chest.

The heart-warming moment was shared to Locky’s Instagram Stories and follows Irena squashing rumours the pair were engaged after a giant sparkler was spotted on her left wedding finger.

Revealing in an Instagram Q&A earlier this month, she hinted an engagement could be in the couple’s future, but confirmed they were ‘not engaged… yet.’

Eagle-eyed fans and viewers of the show noticed that Irena is now wearing the ring on her left hand rather than her right, after Locky placed it there during the finale.

Meanwhile, Irena and Locky have taken their relationship to the next level by moving to Perth together.

Irena, who hails from Melbourne, shared the exciting news to Instagram on October 16, revealing she had arrived in WA after her travel permit was approved.

The Undoing finale leaves UK viewers with mixed feelings after it is revealed who killed Elena Alves

Viewers have been waiting with bated breath to discover who killed Elena Alves, and The Undoing’s season finale, which aired on Monday, finally revealed the truth.

As the six-part HBO drama came to a close on Sky Atlantic in the UK it was revealed who murdered Elena (Matilda De Angelis), after Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant) was arrested for the crime.

Although they had been kept on tenterhooks for the duration of the series, fans were left with mixed feelings following the finale, with some claiming it was a ‘derivative, cliched ending’ while others hailed it as ‘top tier telly’.

Drama: The Undoing left UK viewers with mixed feelings on Monday as some praised it as 'top tier TV' while others claimed it was a 'waste of time' after it was revealed who killed Elena Alves

In the end, Jonathan was unmasked as the killer, despite mounting evidence in previous episodes that someone had framed him.

A major cliffhanger at the end of episode five left viewers once again questioning the culprit, after Grace (Nicole Kidman) discovered a mallet – the potential murder weapon – hidden in a violin case in her son Henry’s bedroom.

And episode six kicks off where five left off, as Grace and Henry (Noah Jupe) stare at each other intensely as they realize the gravity of what she has discovered.

Henry confesses that he discovered the weapon in an outdoor fireplace at the Fraser family beach house, which was still bloodied, so he decided to run it through their dishwasher (twice!) to clean it off.

Expected? In the end, Jonathan was unmasked as the killer, despite mounting evidence in previous episodes that someone had framed him

The child admits to his shocked mother that he was only trying to cover for his father, who he is convinced killed Elena.

As the episode continues, all the signs point to Jonathan as he admits on the stand that he took his tuxedo from the night in question to the dry cleaners, while making his way to the beach house to see his wife and child.

A shocking flashback from the night of the murder shows his white blood-spattered shirt, however it is still unconfirmed who the killer is at this point.

When Grace confronts her husband over Henry’s claims, he suggests that the weapon was planted by the police in order to frame him, and then even suggests his own 12-year-old son Henry is the killer.

Whodunnit? Throughout the series many claimed it would be 'too obvious' for Jonathan to be the one who killed Elena (Matilda De Angelis - pictured) and theorised about who did it

New twist! Episode six kicks off where five left off, as Grace and Henry (Noah Jupe – pictured) stare at each other intently as they realize the gravity of what she has discovered

This appears to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for Grace, who finally accepts what was been staring her in the face all along. Her husband Jonathan is Elena’s killer.

Grace reverses her decision to not testify for the defense in Jonathan’s murder trial, but in a cold twist she gives information under cross-examination that help the prosecution nail down her husband.

She tells the jury how Jonathan felt no ‘guilt or grief’ when his young sister ran out into the road and was killed by a car. Grace had earlier learned this information from Jonathan’s mother, who labeled her own son a sociopath.

Further flashbacks take the viewers back to the night where Jonathan visited Elena at her studio on the night of the school auction as they made love.

Things turned nasty between the couple as Jonathan warned Elena to stay away from his family, while Elena insisted that he would never be able to leave her.

Jonathan then smashed her head against a wall before trying to leave, but as she launched herself at him with a mallet he stopped her, threw her down and bludgeoned her to death.

On the day Jonathan is set to be convicted, he tells his son that he wants to take him out for breakfast but instead tries to go on the run.

While in the car Henry says: ‘You murdered someone’, while Jonathan insists: ‘Not the real me. Not the dad you know.’

He continues to drive on at dangerous high-speed and narrowly avoids smashing into another vehicle after clearing a red light.

Jonathan eventually comes to a stop on a bridge where he threatens to jump off, while his son begs him not to jump, as Grace who has been following in hot pursuit sprints towards her son.

Grace manages to safely retrieve Henry and leads him to her father’s helicopter as they fly off as Jonathan is hand cuffed.

Taking to Twitter, some fans heaped praise on the show as they also gave particular kudos to Grant for his performance as Fraser.

Tagging the Notting Hill star in their tweet, one person wrote: ‘You were brilliant in the “Undoing”… bravo! Shame the series is finished now.’

Praising his acting skills, another joked: ‘Is it time to watch “Love Actually” again….. After watching The Undoing, I’m not sure I can look at Hugh Grant in quite the same cute way as I used to.’

But not everyone was pleased with the ending, as others claimed they had wasted their time with the show as the reveal was too ‘cliche’ for their liking.

One declared: ‘wish i could undo the last few weeks of watching The Undoing. lmao what an awful ending.’

Another added: ‘The Undoing, a disappointing derivative and cliched ending, wasting all the careful set up.’

Kelly Clarkson & Brandon Blackstock’s Divorce Heats Up: She Gets Primary Custody, He Asks For OUTRAGEOUS Spousal Support!

Oof — we didn’t know this split would get so contentious.

Kelly Clarkson’s divorce from Brandon Blackstock came as a surprise, but at first we thought it might be an amicable split, especially since Kelly kept mum on the details for the sake of their children. Maybe we should have expected things to heat up after her father-in-law sued the singer for unpaid management fees.

Related: Kelly Claims Brandon’s Management Company Violated Labor Laws

Now that the court rulings are starting to roll in, however, it’s clear that tension has begun to escalate between the former couple. The first sign was when the Breakaway artist was awarded primary custody of their two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander.

In court documents obtained by People, a judge ruled that “the interest in providing stability and continuity for the minor children weighs in favor of Petitioner having primary custody.” A source told the outlet:

“As Kelly has said, her first priority in all of this is to take care of the kids and all the hearts that are involved in this divorce. It’s been a hard time for everyone, but Kelly’s pleased with the court’s ruling regarding custody.”

The insider shared that Blackstock, who established a primary residence in Montana, wanted the kids to go “back and forth” or stay in Montana despite the fact that L.A. has “undeniably been their home base.”

(PS, does Blackstock settling in Montana mean he won’t have an active role in The Kelly Clarkson Show anymore? What about his other famous clients like Blake Shelton?)

The source continued:

“Divorce is hard and it gets tense for most couples going through it. But Kelly’s primary focus is on doing the best she can to protect the kids. In this case, she had to fight for them since Brandon and his attorneys were making unreasonable requests.”

Innerestingly, the court documents also noted that “the level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.”

Likely adding fire to those flames is the 43-year-old’s hefty request for nearly $450k in spousal support. Another People source said:

“Brandon’s been equally unreasonable in his requests for child and spousal support, as well as attorney fees. Kelly’s offered to pay for all the kids’ expenses, but Brandon seems to think he is entitled to and needs $301K in spousal support and $135K in child support per month. … Additionally, he’s already asked for $2M for attorney fees when he’s the one driving up the cost of the divorce with seven attorneys just representing him alone.”

Related: Kelly Hints At Reason For Her Divorce In Meaningful Monologue

Elsewhere in the ruling, the court ironed out upcoming holiday schedules for the children and determined that Blackstock would FaceTime them every day “at a mutually agreed upon time.” It also included an agreement that the exes “shall not speak in a derogatory manner about the other parent to the minor children. The custodial parent shall not allow the minor children to be in the presence of any third party who speaks about the other parent in a derogatory manner.”

Hopefully despite the “unreasonable” nature of Blackstock’s request, this whole thing can still be settled as amicably as possible, especially for the sake of their kids.

Squad member Rashida Tlaib under fire from anti-Semitism watchdog

A group opposing anti-Semitism is denouncing Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., after she called for Palestinian freedom “from the river to the sea.”

That controversial phrasing has been interpreted by the Anti-Defamation League to convey an interest in eliminating the state of Israel.

“Rashida Tlaib RT’s [retweets] out the same message that got Marc Lamont Hill canned from CNN,” tweeted the account for StopAntiSemitism.org.

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free – code for eradicating the State of Israel and its millions of Jews. Reminder – this is a sitting U.S. Congresswoman.”

SQUAD MEMBER RASHIDA TLAIB, ACCUSED OF BEING ANTI-SEMITIC, TO SPEAK ON PANEL ABOUT ANTI-SEMITISM

The group was referring to a former CNN commentator who was fired from the network after a speech he gave at the United Nations in 2018. At the time, Hill denied calling for Israel’s destruction.

“My reference to ‘river to the sea’ was not a call to destroy anything or anyone,” he tweeted.

“It was a call for justice, both in Israel and in the West Bank/Gaza. The speech very clearly and specifically said those things. No amount of debate will change what I actually said or what I meant.”

Tlaib has faced criticism over her support for Palestinians and the way she talked about Jews.

Tlaib was criticized by House Republicans last year after describing the “calm feeling” she experienced when thinking about the Holocaust. However, the congresswoman said her critics were policing and “twisting” her words and defended the comments she made

JEWISH GROUPS CONDEMN RASHIDA TLAIB OVER TIES TO RADICAL PRO-HEZBOLLAH, ANTI-ISRAEL ACTIVIST

The Michigan congresswoman also made headlines when she sought a humanitarian visit to her grandmother after the Israeli government rejected her and Rep. Ilhan Omar’s, D-Minn., request to enter the Jewish state. Citing the two’s itinerary, Israel claimed that their visit was intended to promote boycotts against the nation.

Tlaib later requested the humanitarian visit through a letter that contained a promise not to promote boycotts. But the Michigan Democrat reversed course after Israel accepted her request, claiming she would have to go under “oppressive conditions.”

On Sunday, Tlaib referenced her grandmother, or “sity,” in a tweet with the photo called out by StopAntiSemitism.org.

“Thinking of my sity Muftieh and family in Palestine today. From Detroit to Gaza, we will always fight against oppression and inequality,” she said.

Tlaib’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment. Earlier this month, she came under fire for participating in a panel on “dismantling anti-Semitism.”

Texans’ Will Fuller V suspended for violating NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller’s 2020 NFL season will come to an abrupt end.

Fuller announced on Instagram that he has been suspended for six games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy. Fuller, who quickly became quarterback Deshaun Watson’s No. 1 option after DeAndre Hopkins was traded away to the Arizona Cardinals, explained what happened on his social media account.

DESHAUN WATSON’S 4 TDS LIFT TEXANS TO 41-25 WIN OVER LIONS

“Earlier this year, I sought treatment from a medical professional who prescribed medication that he believed to be permitted under the NFL’s drug policy,” Fuller wrote. “As it turns out, my trust in this professional was misplaced because this medication was NOT a permitted substance under the NFL Policy on Performance Enhancing Substances.”

Ryan Reynolds responds to Queen Elizabeth launching her own gin line

Ryan Reynolds is keeping an eye on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who is said to have launched a new gin brand.

The 94-year-old monarch’s company, Sandringham Gin, recently been launched and the spirits retail for $67 per half-liter bottle, according to Marie Claire.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE GIN TO BE SOLD TO PUBLIC FOR A TASTE OF ROYAL LIFE

Each bottle is sourced from ingredients grown at Sandringham Estate, the queen’s private residence. It is distilled at the royal estate and includes Chinese persimmons and “foliage from myrtle plants.”

Reynolds, who acquired a stake in Aviation American Gin in 2018 and eventually became a co-owner alongside spirits giant Diageo, took notice of the British monarch’s growing gin business.

RYAN REYNOLDS HAS HILARIOUS OUT OF OFFICE MESSAGE AFTER SELLING AVIATION GIN FOR $610 MILLION

“If she imposes a Gin Tax, I promise a revolution,” Reynolds joked on Twitter when he caught wind of the news Saturday afternoon.

Minutes later, the 44-year-old actor’s spirits company, Aviation American Gin, tweeted out another joke that directly tagged Reynolds.

“Surprisingly this was on @VancityReynolds 2020 Bingo Card,” the tweet said.

SNOOP DOGG LAUNCHES LINE OF GIN MORE THAN 25 YEARS AFTER RELEASE OF HIT ‘GIN AND JUICE’

It’s not the first time Reynolds and Aviation American Gin have taken the opportunity to make a comedic jab in its marketing. In December of last year, the star’s brand made headlines after it recruited actress Monica Ruiz from a divisive Peloton ad to make a humorous commercial for its gin, by using the controversy.

Reynolds likely won’t have to worry about competition from the queen, though.

Sandringham Gin is only available in the U.K. and won’t be shipped internationally. The same is true for the Buckingham Palace Gin the Royal Collection Trust launched over the summer.

Moreover, it can take up to two weeks to deliver Sandringham Gin throughout the 93,628-square-mile country due to the small batches the company will be distilling, the company notes on its product page.
